At least 20 farmers from rural Argentina were arrested in yet another protest of farmers near the Uruguayan border.
A standoff between the farmers and the government has been occurring for already three months now after Cristina Fernandez, the Argentine president, ordered to raise export taxes by more than ten percent. This standoff caused the farmers not to exports their goods, further fueling the hike of food prices around the globe.
