In what can be seen to be a surprising event, Argentina may fail to fulfill its export quota of beef to the European Union.
According to the contract, Argentina is supposed to supply around $28,000 tons of boneless beef to the countries of the EU, selling the meat at around $10,000 US dollars every ton.
Officials are still hoping to reach its quota as the EU might put sanctions on Argentina if the contract is not fulfilled.
