Peron Arrested

Ex-President Isabel Peron was arrested in Madrid and is wanted for questioning about the disappearance of a student activist in February 1978. She was never as popular as Eva Peron but was the successor of your husband Juan Peron who died in July 1974.

Higuain Turned down France

$500 Million 7% Bonds to be sold

Argentina with a maturing debt plans to sell $500 million of dollar bonds in the local market tomorrow. These bonds are known as Bonars will mature in 2013. The goverment decided to take advantage of a friendly debt market to get financing.

Border Dispute

The United Nations International Court of Justice has rejeced a request by Uruguay to help end a border dispute with Agrentina. They declined to hear the case as the situation doesn't require their expertise because of the 1975 treaty between the two nations.

Gas Consulting Deal

Russian Oil and Gas Company have signed a consulting agreement to help with planned gran Gasoducto del Sure pipeline. Gazprom is being used for technical support and using their expertise to assist Gazprom. They are trying to absorb the expertise for not only domestic management but for inernational expertise as well.

25 Years Later
