Carballo Wins

Season-Opener of the Nationwide Tour Panama Championship was won with a 5 under 65 giving a two-stroke victory to Miguel Carballo. Being 5 strokes back at the beginning of the second round he made a fabulous comeback for the win.

Olympic Berth Gained

Argentina's under-20 team beat Uruguay 1-0 on Sunday to secure the 2008 Beijing Olympic Berth which was the last of two berths. The next World Cup to be held in Canada and Argentina will be there ready to win.

During a human rights trial one of the witnesses, Luis Gerez, went missing last month and two days later appeared shirtless claiming he was kidnapped beaten and burned with cigarettes.

Angel of Death Follow-up

Captain Astiz, 56, denied in court on Wednesday that he took part in the abduction of two French nuns and accused "undercover agents" of playing a part in their deaths. Previously he had claimed constitutional rights for not testifying against himself.

Is Argentina Economy Minister Telling Lies?

Both the Canadian Government and The Paris Club have not received any official notice from Economy Minister Felisa Miceli offering a proposal to restructure its $6.3 billion debt. The Minister stated last month that she had sent an offer to the creditor group. Oooops, never received.

Dirty War Cases Revealed

Officials have been authorized to reveal state secrets in human rights trials. The move will allow prosecution for the attoricites commited during 1976-1983 dictatorship. Also ban lifted from military, police and government in order to have state secrets revealed.
