Argentina underreports inflation data, cuts $16 billion of debt

Argentina was able to cut around $16 billion in inflation-related debts by underreporting the increases in its consumer price indices for the last two years, according to one of the nation's newspaper.
The federal government has reported an inflation of a little below twenty percent when provincial institutions are reporting inflation rates of around 50 percent. Bloomberg.com tells us more about this issue.
