Argentina to loan $70 milllion to GM's local affiliate

The Argentine government will extend a $70 million loan to support the operations of GM's local affiliate. This was announced by Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner last Thursday during a visit to the local GM plant.

The parent company, General Motors Corp., has recently filed for bankruptcy protection in a US court.
