Compared with 285 pounds sterling ($550) for a round at Wentworth West golf course near London, the lovely Argentinian courses have become a real bargain. Since an economic crisis caused the peso to plummet in 2002, green fees at Arelauquen Golf & Country Club's flagship course, set amid the blue lakes and snow-capped mountains of Patagonia, are $43, an absolute bargain, compared with expensive courses in many other parts of the world.
